The Amgen Work Environment
Equal Employment Opportunity
Harassment-Free Work Environment
General Work Environment
Harassment-Free Work Environment

Amgen is committed to providing a workplace free of unlawful harassment. Amgen will not tolerate unlawful harassment by or toward employees, or non-employees with whom Amgen has a business, service or professional relationship. Unlawful harassment does not refer only to sexual harassment, but also harassment based on race, color, religion, national origin, age, disability or any other basis prohibited under applicable law. Please refer to the current Harassment Policy for additional details regarding the policy and the obligations of individuals subject to the policy.

Each Amgen staff member in the U.S. has received a memorandum from the Company’s Chief Executive Officer detailing the Company’s sexual harassment policy, and each staff member in California has also received a pamphlet prepared by the State of California regarding sexual harassment. Any U.S. staff member who has not received these documents should immediately contact their Human Resources representative. Recipients should carefully review and understand these documents.

Any Amgen staff member who believes that he or she has been subjected to unlawful harassment, or who has witnessed such conduct, should immediately bring this behavior to the attention of the Company by notifying Amgen’s AA/EEO Compliance Senior Manager at (805) 447-1999 or an Area Human Resources Manager. Staff members may also contact the Business Conduct Hotline or the Ombudsperson (see the “Where to Turn for Help or Report Concerns” section for contact information). All supervisors and managers who are contacted about possible harassment should immediately notify their Area Human Resources Manager or Amgen’s AA/EEO Compliance Senior Manager at (805) 447-1999 about the matter. Staff members who raise good faith complaints about unlawful harassment will not be subjected to retaliation.

Similar laws against harassment apply in countries other than the U.S. Individuals are instructed to the policies in effect at their location to request guidance from their supervisor, the compliance representative with responsibility for their geographic area, the EU Director of Compliance, or the Chief Compliance Officer as appropriate.
